Flash design is a techonology developed and supported by Adobe (originally Macromedia) and is primarily used to bring life and movement to websites.

Although Flash has its place on the internet and you probably see it every day in use, perhaps without in realising, there can be drawbacks - for example, Flash is not currently supported on iphone, ipad or Blackberry - This means that some end users wil not see the desired results.
For most desktop PC and MAC browser software, Flash viewer is available as a free plug-in download and if designed correctly the end user will always be prompted to install if they haven't already done so.
Having said that, workarounds can easily be acheived for unsupported browsers by offering the end-user a static version of the website or graphic when they go to view that particular Flash 'object'
It's not all bad though - Used in the right scenario and designed using the correct format, Flash can be one of the most powerful tools available on the internet, and we are happy to advise for each individual scenario on what will work best for you!
